Account deletion request
You may request the deletion of your InnoBooks account and associated data at any time.
How to request deletion
Send an email to [email protected] from the address associated with your account, with:
- Subject: Account deletion request
- Message: your full name and, if applicable, the name of your business
You will receive an email confirmation shortly. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Data that will be deleted
- Your user profile (first name, last name, email address, phone number)
- Your app preferences and settings
- Your sessions and authentication tokens
- Any data not required to be retained by law
Data retained for legal obligations
Some data must be retained to comply with our legal and tax obligations. Where possible, this data is dissociated from your profile, but cannot be deleted before the end of the legally mandated retention period:
- Invoices, receipts and transaction records: 6 years, in accordance with the Income Tax Act (Canada) and the Tax Administration Act (Quebec).
- Data transmitted to Revenu Québec via the SRM (MEV) module: for businesses using our software certified as a Sales Recording Module (SRM / Module d’enregistrement des ventes, MEV) by Revenu Québec, transaction data is transmitted to the Government of Quebec in accordance with the Tax Administration Act (RLRQ c A-6.002). This data is retained and managed by Revenu Québec under their own policies. InnoBooks has no authority to request its deletion.
- Stripe payment history: retained by our payment processor Stripe Inc. in accordance with its PCI-DSS and anti-money-laundering obligations.
