Receive the goods, your numbers follow
Receive an order in full, or line by line with the quantities actually delivered — the rest waits for the next delivery. Every receiving updates the quantity in stock and the last price paid, converted into the unit you count the item in: a case of 12 received on an item counted by unit, a price per pound on an item stored in kilograms.

When a supplier raises a price
Every receiving leaves a price observation, with its unit. When a price rises more than 10 % above the previous one, InnoBooks tells you on your phone and shows what the increase does to the cost of the recipes that use that item. Two prices in different units are never compared blindly.
