Your online store, on your till's catalogue
Your customers order on your website, in French or English, for pickup, delivery or shipping. Prices, taxes and photos come from InnoBooks, and every order lands on the same board as the till's.
Your till's catalogue, online
The store reads your InnoBooks catalogue: photos, descriptions, prices, taxes, and the ingredients and allergens from the label. Change a price in InnoBooks and it changes on the site, with nothing to copy over. At checkout, every cart line is checked again: a stale price, or one edited in the browser, is never charged, and taxes are recalculated by InnoBooks from the catalogue.
A dated promotional price shows with the regular price struck through and a « Promotion » badge, and automatic discounts and combos apply in the cart. An item tracked in inventory never sells past its stock. An item marked « In store only » keeps its page on the site, with no buy button.
- Photos, descriptions, prices and taxes from the item sheet
- Prices and taxes checked again before every payment
- Dated promotional price, struck-through price and badge
- « In store only »: the page stays, with no online purchase
Several stores, one catalogue
In InnoBooks, you declare your websites and choose, item by item, which ones it sells on. That is how Danh Pham Cuisine runs two stores on the same catalogue: danhphamcuisine.com for the restaurant and danhpham.net for the grocery.
The site connects to InnoBooks with an API key created in the settings. Its secret is shown only once; you can rotate it, disable the key for as long as needed, or delete it.
- One catalogue, several websites
- Each item sold on the sites you choose
- API key: secret shown only once, rotated when needed
- Key disabled or deleted in one click
Pickup, delivery or shipping
The customer picks the mode when ordering. For pickup, they choose a time and pay at the counter: nothing is paid online. For delivery, they choose a time from the slots built from your opening hours in InnoBooks, whose preparation time sets the earliest time offered. A time already past, or outside the slots, is refused before payment.
For a parcel, shipping is priced on the cart's weight — Canada Post's live rate for the postal code, or weight bands — or quoted afterwards: the order is taken without payment, and the customer receives the shipping cost by email. Items to keep cold do not go by mail, unless the option allows it.
- Pickup, paid at the counter
- Delivery at the time chosen within your slots
- Shipping by weight, Canada Post rate or bands, or quoted by hand
- Minimum order per delivery option
Card payment, with Stripe
You connect your Stripe account in the InnoBooks settings with the « Connect with Stripe » button: sign-up happens at Stripe, with no key to copy, and your payouts go to your bank account. The customer pays by card on the checkout page, and the server checks with Stripe that the payment succeeded, for the exact amount, before confirming the order.
A business whose till reports its sales to MEV-WEB does not take payment online: every sale must leave the till with its bill. Its customers order on the site, choose pickup and pay at the counter.
- « Connect with Stripe »: no key to copy
- Payouts to your bank account
- Payment checked by the server before confirmation
- Till on MEV-WEB: pickup paid at the counter
Every order lands on your board
The site's order lands in InnoBooks with its items, the chosen time and the customer's note. It shows up right away on the order board, in the web app and on the till tablet, and the mobile admin app sends you a notification. You move it along: pending, confirmed, preparing, ready, out for delivery, completed.
When you invoice it — « Invoice » on the tablet, « To cart » in the web app — its items go to the till and it becomes a sale, with its receipt. That is when the items' stock goes down.
- Live order board, on the web and the tablet
- Notification in the mobile admin app
- On the tablet, an order is dragged from one column to the next
- Invoiced at the till: receipt and stock up to date
What your customers find there
Customers order without an account, or create one: they then find their past orders and their addresses, and their wishlist follows them from one device to another. Search suggests products from the first letters, with or without accents, and the catalogue downloads as an up-to-date PDF.
After ordering, the confirmation page opens only through a private link, and the confirmation email itemizes each tax, with your GST and QST registration numbers. The same catalogue can also feed the SOS Bouffe ordering app.
- Order without an account, or an account with history and addresses
- Wishlist
- Search with suggestions
- Catalogue as a PDF
- Confirmation protected by a private link
In French, in English, and readable by Google
The store is bilingual down to its addresses: /produits/ in French, /en/products/ in English. An item's name and description can carry their translation in its InnoBooks sheet.
Every product page describes its price, availability and shipping cost to Google, and the sitemap lists the pages in both languages. If InnoBooks does not answer for a moment, the pages stay online with their last copy.
- French and English, translated addresses
- Name and description translated in the item sheet
- Structured data: price, availability, shipping
- Sitemap in both languages
With the Online store add-on
The online store is the Online store add-on, sold per website with Professional Access and the Elite Plan. The Restaurant Package includes one, along with the Point of sale add-on.
To follow and invoice orders on the till tablet, you need the Point of sale add-on. The fees on online payments are listed on the pricing page.

- One store included in the Restaurant Package
- Point of sale add-on for the till tablet
